Response to errors during Flexcil backup and restoring process

If you experience errors during the process of backup and restoration, please follow the procedure below.

Please check this document for backup and restoration instructions.

1. If the storage runs out when you backup data from Flexcil 1

To avoid loss of the original data, the backup process requires two to three times as much storage than its original data.
Therefore, it is recommended that you back up after deleting unnecessary or re-downloadable files as much as possible.

– Transferring data by using the lowest amount of storage in the device

  1. Flexcil 1 Settings > Backup and Restore > Data Backup
  2. After the backup completes, share the backup files to iCloud and upload them on it
  3. Delete backup files from Flexcil 1
Flexcil 1 Settings > Backup and Restore > Swipe left to delete backup files from the Restore page
  4. Restore from iCloud to Flexcil 2
Select files that were backed up in iCloud (.flex) > Export > Select Flexcil 2 from the App list > Set Up Flex 2 > Restore data

2. Continuous loading on Flexcil 1 during the backup process

If the indicator continues to rotate during the backup process, the backup is in progress normally.
However, if the backup data is large, it can take a very long time.
Therefore, we recommend that you delete unnecessary or re-downloadable files as much as possible before proceeding the backup process.

3. Continuous loading on Flexcil 2 during the restoring process

If the indicator continues to rotate during the restoring process, the restoration is in progress normally.
However, if the backup data is large, it can take a very long time.
Therefore, we recommend that you delete unnecessary or re-downloadable files as much as possible before proceeding the backup/restoration process.

4. If restoring from Flexcil 2 results in an ‘invalidTextboxJsonData’ or ‘faultoreadcontent’ error

Please update Flexcil 2 to the latest version and proceed with the restoration.
If you experience the same problem with the latest version, it is a particular case.
In this case, if you send the backup file to support@flexcil.com, we will analyze the backup file to proceed with problem-solving and data restoration and contact you through a reply.

After the backup by going Flexible 2 Setting > Backup > Data Backup, send them to support@flexcil.com

(After the test, the data will be destroyed.)
